AdminHistoryThe hundred of Puddletown included the following parishes:. Athelhampton. Burleston. Milborne St Andrew. Puddletown (including the tithings of Bardolfeston, Ilsington, Little Cheselbourne, Little Puddle, Lovard and Waterston). Tincleton (including the tithing of Cliff). Tolpuddle (including the tithing of Throope). D/PUD/E1/1/5 includes notes concerning the manor and the hundred, and the courts. It also lists the common manorial lands as Puddletown Down to the north, Puddletown Heath to the south, West Mead and Frome Mead.. The jurisdiction of the manor probably included the market and fairs granted to Henry Hastings of Woodlands in 1626.. Some records from the time of the Walpoles' ownership of the estate can be found in the Bymer of Puddletown archive. This includes hundredal and manorial court books 1787-1890.
